Everyone knows of a million and one coffee shops to go too. But tea shops are something completely different. The vibe is relaxed, and the atmosphere is perfect to unwind in. Here are some great places to try out in Montreal...
Salon de the Gryphon D'Or5968 Ave de Monkland
Montreal, QC (514) 485-7377 A cozy tea room with arguably Montreal's best tea and scones with butter and homemade jam. It also offers a few lunch selections every day with unlimited tea and coffee, and an incredible variety of delicious deserts. Maison de Thé Camellia SinensisLatin Quarter
351 Rue Emery Montreal, QC (514) 286-4002 A cozy spot with great deserts and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very knowledgeable about the tea offered, and the deserts are prepared to accompany the tea, not the other way around. |
David's Tea
This is not a tea café, but a tea shop with hundreds of different selections of black, green, and white teas. Every employee is an expert on the different flavours and blends, and are all trained to help you find the perfect tea for you.
Some of my favourites include:
Brazilionnaire- A delicious black tea that combines whole brazil nuts, raisins, and coconut chips.
Mother's Little Helper- An herbal tea that puts you into an instant state of relaxation. It includes chamomile flowers, peppermint, lemongrass, rosehips, hibiscus, valerian root, and cornflowers.
Check out the massive selection at their website.
